This portrait came to be through the imagination of Nikki whose friends Kathy and Cliff are the lucky companions of Bianca. A Spinone Italiano, Bianca was a pleasure to photograph and a joy to paint. Commissioned with the thought of being a gift given at Thanksgiving, all went perfectly on schedule.
In this piece I see stars and stripes framing Bianca in graced and good compliment.
And, a note: 2020 is even more bereft with Bianca’s passing. She lives in the work I did and in the hearts of all who knew her, especially Kathy and Cliff.
The Making of a Portrait
Bianca’s portrait is painted on both sides of clear acetate using acrylics, gold leaf, and mixed medium. The portrait measures 18″ x 24″.
